Reports can be simple lists such as customer phone list or they can be complex documents that include calculated information and historical data such as sales by customer report.

In Quick Business Manager you have the ability to preview report, export to Excel for further analysis, export to other file formats such as Word, PDF, XML, or HTML.  A previewed report shows what will be printed on the paper.  If the report is not in previewed window, you can adjust column width or hide some column you do not want to be printed.

You can filter a report before previewing or exporting to other applications such as excel.  When you select a particular report, a pre-previewed report is displayed, where you can filter.  You can filter a report based on dates and other criteria.  For example, you can filter Sale by Customer report based on date and/or customer name.

This picture displays a report in a pre-previewed window.  From this window you can print, preview, export to Excel, graph, or use File->Send To to save in other formats such as HTML format.

Basic Ways to Work with Reports

All reports follow the same format: on the right of screen you see the details for the report and on the left panel you see the tasks for that report.

The tasks for the reports include Print, Print Preview, Export to Microsoft Excel, and some other specific tasks.

Exporting the report to Microsoft Excel will let you see your report in spreadsheet format, so you can analyze the report further.  Microsoft Excel lets you customize your report, so it suits your business needs.  Note that Microsoft Excel must be installed on your computer for this procedure to work.

If you want to Do this
Print the displayed report On the left panel click Print
Preview the displayed report On the left panel lick Print Preview
To Export the report to Microsoft Excel On the left panel click Export to Microsoft Excel.
Custom Date: enter date yourself Select Custom Dates from Dates list.  Scroll the list down and select Custom Dates.
Post the Check Mark the Check and then click Post

You can also query the report using the query panel.  The query panel, which is located below your displayed report, lets you filter the report.  Most reports have query panel, so it lets you filter the report.

For example, in Open Invoices report, you can filter the report for the specific customer or a date range or both.  If you select the customer from the Customer list, the report displays open invoices for that particular customer.  If you select a date range from Dates list, the report displays open invoices for that date range.  You can also, enter the custom date range.  To display all customers' open invoices, select All Customers.
