I have three columns; 40 rows; col 1 is sr nos 1 to 40 (does not change); col 2 would defintely have duplicate values; there may be blanks too; column 3 is a % (would be present corresonding to non blank value of col 2)
sr nos 1 to 10 is categorized as f1, 11 to 20 as f2, 21 to 30 as f3 and 31 to 40 as f4; this is fixed
i want to place the % values in grid form under f1, f2, f3, f4; for every non-blank values in col 2

If there is NO duplicate in column B per category (as it is now) a Pivot Table is certainly a possibility.

Re: Column having dupl values to be placed in grid form
I am a novice as far as pivot table is concerned; nevertheless could u explain me how to set a filter to have only duplicate values and omit single values in column b;
alternatively just help me with command to list all duplicate values (ignoring single values) of col b in col f without blanks in between; i would try to do it from there i.e. Capturing corresponding data in the form of grid -
Re: Column having dupl values to be placed in grid form
Next formula can help to see Single / Duplicate value in column B.
Quote
=IF(COUNTIF(B:B;B2)>1;1;0)
Then use this information in filter or Pivot Table
In your example there is NO single value. -
