I need help with some claculations in an excel sheet.
You will see on the attached a data tab where the raw data will be stored. This data will always be in this format and in these cell ranges but it is rolling so the months might move along so the formulas need to reference the dates, not the cell references.
On the calcs tab I have demonstrated what I need doing. Mine are manual calculations, what I need this to do is look in H2 and H3 of the calcs tab to see what the month is and calculate based off this. The clacualtions are all around year to date and year to go and so by looking at the selected month (in my example September) it would know the year to go period is September through to May and the year to date is June through to August.
The calcs themselves are simple but I am unsure how to reference the date. Similarly they need to reference the product names, not the cell references.
In the example I have indicated I would like some sparklines or conditional formatting adding in also.
The final part is the same calculations but split by quarters - it needs the reference the correct months for these whilst also recognising what month we are in.
Q1 - July, August, September
Q2- October, November, December
Q3 - January, February, March
Q4 - April, May and June
