Dear all I am new to the forum,
I have a question:
I have a column with dates in it in chronological order and I want in another sheet to reffer to the begining and end date of the list. How do I go about it? The list changes as it is data imported via a query from an MS Access table. But I always want the begining and end date of the list.
Thanx for any suggestions.

The MIN and MAX function will do this, e.g
There is also the SMALL and LARGE Function that will return the nth smallest/largest number in a range.

Hi & welcome
say your dates are in column A
=MAX(A:A) will give you max date
=MIN(A:A) will give you earliest date
Yup that all worx fine! Now I know the answer it seems easy
