Grow the table every month/quarter

  • Hello all,

I am not good with using macros and any possible formula i tried failed, so appreciate your help.

I have a table which automatically refreshes based on my raw data. It has three rows for the 3 months of the last quarter

This table has a volume column which gives me volume for each month.

    So it would look like

    Month Volume

    Oct-20 100

    Nov-20 200

    Dec-20 500

Now I have this second table with all the historic data

    Month Volume

    Jan-20 100

    Feb-20 200

    :

    :

    Sept- 20 300

I want to be able to append the first table to the second table every quarter. So next quarter when the first table will have the data for jan'21 to mar' 21 - those rows should get automatically added to the historic table.

It's all in the same workbook. Appreciate any workaround / formula/ macro/ VBA.

  • Hello,

Since you want to copy your data Quarter by Quarter, your destination table should end in May 20

    Attached is your test file

    Hope this will help

  • By the way, keeping your Table clear of future expansion rows does fix the question you asked in your other thread ;)
