    Export PDF from ranges on two different worksheets
    I have two worksheets, YTD and July. I want to select A1:K48 on the YTD worksheet and A1:G45 on the July worksheet and then export that selection to a pdf file on the e:\saved folder with the name July2017. I get an error on the Set rng line of code. Here is what I have done and appreciate any help on this. Thank you

    Private Sub cmdPrintJul_Click()

    Set rng = Worksheets("YTD").Range("A1:K48", Worksheets("July").Range("A1:G45"))

    Timing Problems and Solutions
    Ok ... Currently making a workbook to tack my treadmill routine. In order for excel to control the treadmill it must play a .wav file.

    1. What I want to do is to have a large visual of exertion settings ( bigger bars for faster speed etc ) and it needs to be sync'd with the time on the .wav player.

    2. So the question that I have and have had for other things is ... what is the BEST CPU friendly way to have VBA do something every second?

    a loop like
    do while true

    or what ... in this case I'll be updating a scroll bar timing when to take HR / etc.

    What is the best way to make excel just run and run and run and run ... but won't monopolize the cpu? If...

    Excel Add-in .xlam file
    Happy Thanksgiving week!

    Not being an expert on the macro, I am trying to resolve a technical issue of how to edit and load an Addin file.
    Wanted to check, if I can refer some process steps explaining the Addin concepts, with file extension, process to install and share etc - for a layman like me, who is not programming expert?

    I tried installing the Addin file thro : File > Options > AddIns > Manage path, but the file could not be installed to execute the macro thro custom tab.

    Please advise,
    Thank you in advance,

    Change fixed path to variable path in Consolidate Data Function
    Hi all,

    Long time lurker but first time posting...
    I hope someone is able to help me out.

    I have one workbook which consolidates data from various other workbooks in order to provide a nice and clean overview...
    One of the ''secondary'' workbooks could have variable names and/or folderpaths...

    I recorded a macro during consolidating data from a secondary workbook to the main overview....

    Sub Macro4()
        Selection.Consolidate Sources:= _
            "'G:\CHS Logging\EQUIPMENT AND MAINTENANCE\003 - MCR (RCT_PTS) Information\RCT Project\current version\[RCT_PTC Selection RC3.xlsm]RCT_Summary'!R51C16:R79C24" _

    VBA to change the format of a range of cells based on dates.
    Beard gu brath

    I am currently attempting to make a calendar function for a manager in my office. She would like it so that when when staff input their time off that is formats a overall calendar view to show when they are off. with each member of staff down the left and the dates shown across the top.

    I had thought to loop through all the names on the employee tracker list to filter and amend the cells but I am having trouble making it work, I will post what I have been trying below. I apologise for the mess, i am still getting to grips with VBA. On the "2017" sheet I have put the dates adjacent to each person.

    Sub Edit2017()
    Dim rng As Range
    Dim c As Range
    Dim x As Range
    Dim y As Range
    Dim myrow As Range
    Dim a As

    Use VBA to generate product availability date ranges
    I receive a rather large data dump that lists product, availability start date and availability end date in separate columns (10K + rows). Some availability dates may be repeated, or be non-contiguous. Is there any way for VBA to help me quickly identify the true periods of availability? I have also included a screen capture of the example data dump and example target result here:

    Product A Available: 10/1/17 - 1/31/18, 10/1/17 - 1/31/18, 11/1/17 -12/31/17, 4/1/18 -6/30/18
    Product B Available: 11/1/17 - 2/28/18, 10/1/17 - 12/31/17, 5/1/18 - 6/30/18, 6/1/18 - 8/31/18
    Product C Available: 10/1/17 - 12/31/18, 6/1/18 -7/31/18, 1/1/19 - 3/31/19

    Time Sheet Conversion - Clocked In Out Time to Hours and Mins Worked
    Attached is a sample of what I'm trying to accomplish. The user must submit their time in the format shown on the upper table using a hand-written paper copy. (yes old school for that employment agency)
    The lower table is a more straight-forward TIME IN and OUT table that makes the most sense to them.
    A new module was created and tied to the icon to allow them ease in generating the upper table based on what they've entered into the lower table.
    Not sure how to accomplish this conversion - but am confident there's got to be a way with a vba sub.. hoping someone knows a way..

    Thanks in advance!
