  • Where can I get books?

    Cheap books.

That probably sounds a bit strange, but I've only got 3 books, a VB6 'Bible', a 'C++' thing, a ADO2.5 Wrox book, and an HTML(4) book.

    Jeeze I'can't even spell/count write.

I mean cheap books - I've got a few but most of them are 2nd hand and out of date.

For example one of my main references for ADO is a Wrox programmers guide for 2.0.

Oh, actually it's 2.5 - I'm balancing my laptop on it, so it does have it's uses.

The prices, even on Amazon, for the latest versions are ridiculous.

I know I can get all the information I want on the internet but the amount of crap you've got to sieve through is unbelievable.

Actually just remembered where I bought the ADO book - Oxfam.

It was 2.49, originally retailing at 43.99 10 years ago.

Not without electricity or batteries or wind-up power, if you can get a wind-up pdf reader.
