  • Calculate Net Pay After Tax

Hi. building a spreadsheet and have gotten stumped. I have the total price in cell f6. In cell C6 I need price with no taxes. D6 should be the pst of 8% and E6 should be the gst of 5%. I realize this is working backwards and that is why it is stumping me so badly. Your help would be so great appreciated, been trying for hours! Thank you so much!

Re: Formula To Subtract Tax From Total

    Hi

Assuming that the tax operates as follows:

    Net price AUD$100
    PSt @ 8% = AUD$8
    GST @ 5% = AUD$5

    Then C6

    =F6*(100/(100+8+5))

    D6:

    =F6*8/(100+8+5)

    E6:

    =F6*5/(100+8+5)

Re: Formula To Subtract Tax From Total

You may want to round two of the formulas and plug the third calculation.

      D6
      =ROUND(F6*8/(100+8+5),2)

      E6
      =ROUND(F6*5/(100+8+5),2)

      C6
      =F6-D6-E6
      Bill
Tip: To avoid chasing code always use Option Explicit.
