  • Close Msgbox After X Seconds

I simply need the code to automatically close a msgbox after 3 seconds.

I am just trying to create a popup that will inform the user that the processing is complete without having them to click the OK button. Thanks.

Re: Autoclose Msgbox After X Number Of Seconds

There may (probably is) some way to do close a MsgBox with Windows API, but nothing short of that.

In the alternative, you could pop up a form that looks like a MsgBox, and write code to close (Unload or Hide) it using the Application.OnTime method. Search for OnTime here in the forum.

Re: Autoclose Msgbox After X Number Of Seconds

Thanks for your help. I ended up utilizing the how-to:

Excel VBA Macro- How to Create a Splash Screen for your Excel Workbook

but instead of typing UserForm1.Show in ThisWorkbook, I just put it after the code I wrote in my module.

Thanks again and I hope this helps others as well.
