  • Close Workbook Without Clipboard Message

    When processing workbooks via VBA, on closing the workbook I sometimes get a request to respond to whether I want to save the clipboard.

    In the same way that there is the option to open a workbook without refreshing links

    Code:
    workbooks.open updatelinks:=False
    I assume there is something on the order of:

    Code:
    workbook.close   DontSaveClipboard:=True
    Question #1 is: What is the parameter syntax for saving or not saving the clipboard?

    Question #2 is: Where would I go to look up these parameter settings instead of having to come back to the group every time I find the next one I need?

    TIA,

    Far Farley

    Re: Workbook Close - Don't Save Clipboard

    Just clear the clipboard first with
    Code:
    Application.CutCopyMode = False

      Turtle,

      Thanks. That's an innovative way to solve the issue.

      While that handles my specific issue, I also have my more generalized question. Do you know where to look up parameters, such as "updatelinks:=False" ?

        Re: Workbook Close - Don't Save Clipboard

        Errr, the VBA help is a good start!

        You can also use
        Code:
        Application.DisplayAlerts=False
        'code
        Application.DisplayAlerts=True
        depending your needs.

        BTW, please search BEFORE asking a question that has been answered hundreds of times.
