  • UserForm Show. Cannot Find The Specified Object

    Hi guys,

I know there is something I am missing here and I can't really find the solution I need in past threads. I have a macro that calls about three macros in a row, then once it has done those tasks, I want it to show a particular userform using the userform.show statement.

However, when it comes to show the userform I get an error saying that it cannot find the specified object?

This is quite frustrating and I think I fixed it in another part a while ago, but I can't remember how.

    Any suggestions?

Re: User Form Won't Show After Running Other Macros

    Hi,

A couple of silly questions to start with, but are you sure you're referring to the exact name of the form? For instance, if the form is called 'MyWay' is your code as follows:

    MyWay.Show

and not some derivative such as My Way.show

If the code is referring the form correctly, is the macro actually bombing out when it tries to open the form (stepping through the macro will pinpoint this) or at another part?

    Hope this helps.

    Kind regards,

    Robert

Re: User Form Won't Show After Running Other Macros

      Hi Robert,

I had all the names correct (first thing I checked)

The macro is definately bombing out when it tries to show the form. All the other macro's that are run before trying to show the form are run successfully.

Don't worry too much, I managed to get around the problem simply by making another macro which contained the userform.show statement only. I then just referenced this from inside the first macro and it seems to work fine now.

      Thanks for your interest though.

      Cheers.
