  • Remove x First Characters In A String

    I have a string like

    AAJDGYE030000460

How can I remove the first character in a macro?

I need to look at the second, third, and forth character

Take a look at the MID function. It's available in both the worksheet and in VBA. The LEFT and RIGHT functions are also useful.

      Code:
      =RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-1)
      will remove the first character.

      Code:
      =mid(A1,2,1)
will give the second. Change 2 to 3/4 for others.

      Code:
      =mid(A1,2,3)
      will give 2nd to 4th.
