  • Some Sub-Menus Disabled. Greyed Out

    Hi
I have noticed that the submenus for the following main menu items are disabled

    Edit Insert Format Data

The submenus for the other main menu items are fine.

I have not run any macros that alter the menus.

I have tried Tools>Customise Reset Menu and Toolbar usage. I then exit the Excel session, but the problem still remains,

Does any one have any ideas?

    Thank you

    Re: Some Submenus Disabled

Try this in a standard sub:

    Code:
    Sub MenuBar_Restore()
       CommandBars("Worksheet menu bar").Reset
    End Sub
it should reset the worksheet menu bar back to normal!

    Regards,
    Simon

Is your Worksheet Or Workbook Protected? Tools>Protection.

When you Reset Toolbars in Excel you must ensure you have the correct Toolbar (Worksheet Menu Bar in your case) checked AND highliighted before clicking Reset.

      Also try, Help>Detect & Repair

        Thanks for the advice.

        The macro worked perfectly.
        Thanks Simon

In a normal module in the VBEditor (Insert > Module).
            Execute that procedure.
