  • Sum Cells on Non-Consecutive Worksheets

Sorry I'm sure this has been asked many times and I looked through the forum and searched the question but I haven't found the answer. I am rusty and returning to excel after a lenghty break.

When adding cells from separate worksheets in the same spreadsheet, what is the formula?
For example, if I am adding B4 from a worksheet named dog and B4 from a separate worksheet named cat I am using =dog+cat!B4 .

This gives me the #VALUE! error. I also tried using parenthesis but it made no difference.

Thanks a lot for the help

Re: adding cells in different worksheets

      Hi and thank you.

I should have been more clear. There are actually seven separate worksheets I want to pull formulas from. So again, for example the formula I use is:

      =SUM(MBNA!B4+USBank!B4+Chase!B4+SI!B4+US!B4+PA!B4+Noa!B4)

That gives me the same #VALUE! error and its I'm going nuts. I know it's something similiar and I will be annoyed for not remembering.

        Hi,

        Try: =SUM(MBNA!B4,USBank!A4,Chase!A4,SI!B4,PA!B4,Noa!B4)
