  • Displaying Data Validation dropdown box for inactive cell

    Hello

    After populating a spreadsheet with some data. My VBA routine deletes the 'Work in Progress' worksheet and then returns to the Data entry sheet.

    This contains cells with Data Validation.
    Even though I'm activating cell B160 (no Data Validation), the dropdown box and input message box from cell A160 are showing. This was selected earlier to paste the set-up data into.

    They do disappear when you move to another cell by clicking the mouse or using the cursor. It looks messy and I would like to clean it up.
    I have tried activating cell A160, then using offset to move to B160.

    Any ideas?
    Seeking enlightment

    How about turning off screen updating while the macro runs? Just a guess.

    Code:
    Application.ScreenUpdating = False
    ' Your existing macro here
    Application.ScreenUpdating = True

      i think u have some vba codes that act based on entry made to your Data sheet, u need to control the act of your other vba codes when entring data into your Data sheet..............pls do review your moduls codes and private codes......and, if any, auto run codes...........
