  • pop-up menu or drop-down menu templates????

Sorry for the short title, but I'm looking for a termplate for a 'Help File' but you don't allow the word Help in the title.

I have a workbook which has a lot of functions and I want to add a help file possibly in the form of a popup userform or a seperate drop-down menu.

Has anybody got any templates I can use???

    Cheers in advance

    Colin

Re: pop-up menu or drop-down menu templates????

Here is an example of how to use text entered on a worksheet (that is normally hidden - I unhid it so you could see) to populate a userform that acts as a help file.

When you open the workbook it adds an additional menu

All the code is unprotected - post back if you have any questions - I merely removed all the sensitive data & database query macros.

Still, as a method for building Help & menus, it should be what you need. The alternative is to use Winhelp or HTML help or some similar help authoring tool to build the help system.

        WillR,

Thanks for this, but I can't get the font within the help dialogue box bigger than size 8, is there anything in the code that determines the font size???

        cheers

When the Help form is activated the information from the 'HelpSheet' is brought into the frame of the help form. It is this that I would like to bring upto about font size 10 or 12 so that I can enlarge the whole form.

Click on the object in the VBE and find Font in the Properties Window (on the left), you can change size, colour etc there
              Hope that Helps

If it's the Frame Control "Frame1"

Don't bother trying to change the font size - the way that is set up, I do not think you can, at least the way Roy was suggesting (unlike some of the other controls), merely adjust the "Zoom" property. Currently it is set to 100. Say increase it to 150 & see if the results are what you want... adjust to suit....

Done that didn't work, changed the font to 12 but on activation it was just the same size as before.

                  ???
