How do I use it?

Simply login as usual when you Start work each day and logout at the end of the day. In between, pop-up the task switch window, by default with Alt-1, whenever you move onto a new activity or client. Browse your timesheet at any time and optionally export the data to any MS Office app or your formal timesheet recording system if you have one.

You can define new activities at any time and also select whether the activity appears on the timesheet report and if it is bookable to project or client. Each activity is identified by two any-text fields permitting you to structure your tasks the way you want to e.g. project/activity or client/job.

How does it work?

Each time you login, Time Logger records an event into a log file on your hard disk. Each recorded event includes the task description, the date and time you Start ed the activity. Each time you switch activities, a new event is recorded and the same for when you logout. Whenever you open the timesheet window, Time Logger searches the log file for events occurring in the selected week and sub-totals time for all the events it finds. Time Logger then generates a report which you can copy to any app that can paste from the clipboard.
