Where do you want them to go? I can move them to the column and page fields, just dragged the label as normal.
I have a Pivot Table on which I am unable to drag the row items (Salesperson Names) to a different position. What am I doing wrong?

Bill Remove or move the page field. Then add a column at Column A. Now hover over any name item until the right pointing arrow shows, click then move the mouse until you get the 4-way pointing arrow and drag.
Thanks for the replies
Stephen,
I just want to reorder the position of the salespersons
Dave,
Add a column to the sheet outside the Pivot Table or a column within the Pivot Table? Then add a column at Column A.

Bill: as soon as I click on any of the names and move the mouse until the cursor changes to the 4-way arrow, I can then move them anywhere on the list.
On the vary file I posted, when I hover over a salesperson name in a cell in the Pivot Table I get no response. I’m using xl2000, but never had this problem before.

I have to click on the cell rather than hover over it but not sure if that's abnormal.
Wrong choice of words. I do click on the cell and hold the mouse button down, but nothing happens.

Apologies if this smacks of grandmothers and egg-sucking but rather than hold down mouse, hover until 4-way arrow appears and then drag?
I've tried it every way possible, no response.

Sorry for the false alarm. I found the problem. I recently moved my Excel over to my wife’s computer. She has a funky curser setup and the curser does not change to the standard four-way arrow cursor. (The standard curser is an animated mouse and the hourglass is an animated dragon) It doesn’t change at all. But I got it to work by holding the funky animated mouse curser on the cell border and dragging.
