Hide Freeze Pane Guideline

When using the freeze panes excel places a guidline that appears at the top of the scrollbar but this can spoil the presentation.

Anyone know if there is a way to hide this line - i only want to freeze pane but no need for the guideline.

Any help appreciated.

FreezePanes is a property of Windows, but there doesn't appear to be a Visible property of the division line - it would need to be another property of Windows. So I don't think this possible. But of course having said that, someone will find a way...

Doubt it can be done. The only thing I can think of is to format the top row to blend in.

If you format the cells above and below the dividing line to be black, the divider line stays black and is thus invisible - but you now have in effect a much wider dividing line... Even hiding rows or reducing row height to zero does not get rid of it.
