I think you will have to try and combine with the WEEKDAY function
i'm really out of depth in trying to figure out how to make the function workday to exclude FRIDAYS instead of Saturdays and Sundays. I'm working here in the middle east and friday is our rest day. Is there any way to do it in excel?

almost but not quite. I'm working on project scheduling using excel. I mean the time frame is variable (ie. 1, 3, 5 or 14 months.). in that formula, i have to list all fridays. lets say i will start at jan 1, 2006, and the project must be finished at 30 working days. Rest day is friday. For that, project must be accomplished on February 4, 2006.
There may be a better solution, but this works,
where A1 houses the start date, A2 houses the time frame.
