    Data Validation using Wingdings Symbols

Hi - can anyone help please?

I have created a list on 1 worksheet containg 2 wingdings symbols - the tick and the cross. I have then created a data-validation in-cell dropdown box referencing the 2 item list on another worksheet. This works fine except that the actual dropdown list itself displays the 2 codes for the tick and cross and not the tick and cross themselves.

Anyone else using my spreadsheet will not understand which code relates to a tick and which to a cross.

    Can anyone please help me?

    Hi IANM

    Welcome to ozgrid

As far as I know this cannot be done. You could use OptionButtons from the Forms Toolbar to allow one of 2 choices though.
