When do you want this to occur?
Where is the date located?
ok so i need some help before i go crazy.
i did read the other thread about the popup message box but i still cannot get mine to work using hers as an example
i have a workbook that needs to popup a message box warning "Trespass Letter is Expiring" one month before the due date for the letter.
i need the macro to check the column F for the 'End Date' and minus a month so that one month before the due date you get a warning message.
is this possible?
I've tried so many time to do this myself but im no expert in VB.
While a VBA routine is certainly one option (especially if you specifically want the message box warning) have you considered simply using Conditional Formatting to flag the 'late' dates, for example by colouring the cell red?
If you want to try this select the data conerned and then choose ConditionalFormatting from the Format menu. Select 'Cell value is', 'less than', and then '=TODAY()-30' in the final box. Click on the Format button to select the appropriate indicator, eg Red background, then OK to apply.
Just a thought

Use the conditional format to identify the rows needing letters sent. Use the message box when the workbook is opened to notify the user that anything from Column F that is read needs a letter.
