Automatically Create HyperLink from Text

I've got some data coming into a cell from a database that is a hyperlink. Except excel is displaying the hyperlink as text and I would have to go through and manually update each cell to make it a hyperlink.

Is there a way to make these cells automatically become hyperlinks?

one approach I thought of was importing the hyperlink as text into say cell A1 and then displaying the same text as a clickable hyperlink in cell B1... I'm not sure how to do that though. Or perhaps there is a better approach?
