    Version Number

I'm worling with a user who has difficulty with Excel 'closing'. I run the same macro on my system without error. We both have Office 2003, and XP SP2 and both believe we have the most current updates. For fun we clicked on About Excel - my number came out

    11.6113.5703

    his

    11.6355.6360

can anyone shed any light on what these numbers mean?

Create Excel dashboards quickly with Plug-N-Play reports.
If I might add a postscript. Every time I tried to install 2003 SP1 I would get a message "Your have the wrong version for this Install". Then I went to the 2003 Update site and let their wizard work and it told me I needed Service Patch 3. But while installing SP3, I get prompted to insert my CD with FrontPage 2002. I originally installed 2003 over my 2002 since 2003 does not include Frontpage, but which nicely updated my Publisher 2002 which I purchased separately. Anyway, the SP3 aborted, but my Excel number was somehow updated.
