Excel has built in chart types to display columns in clusters or stacked. If you want to combine these two chart types you need to change the layout of your data and format the chart to give the desired results.
Here is what the default chart type look like
With the data for both charts looking like this.
In order to combine the two style we need to change the layout of our data. This means adding empty cells to out data layout, like so.
To create the chart select the range A1:K5 and create a stacked column chart using the Chart Wizard.
