Analyze correlations between foreign exchange and stock market trends. CYCLOPS MARKETS MONITOR reads in foreign exchange and stock market data and carries out trend characteristic analysis to highlight correlations between data sets. In each analysis CYCLOPS processes data sets working on a present and past data basis and presents sets of results for the most successful investment histories. CYCLOPS works by combining the differentials of data sets over a range of analysis parameters. The method of analysis by finding correlations between data sets is a recognition that market data trends are mostly random when analyzed singly but correlations exist between sets of data with common influences.

DATA SETS : A CYCLOPS data set contains data points representing time and values over a time range. An example of a data set is the set of values of the Dow Jones Index in USD between Jan 1st 2000 and Jan 1st 2003. The time frequency of data sets is typically one day, however days in the data set can be omitted. Data sets are introduced to CYCLOPS by importing from a raw data file

PRIMARY DATA SET: The traded data set in the investment history. The PRIMARY DATA SET is always displayed as the first data set in the DATA SET SELECTOR and can be displayed in the DATA SET VIEW by clicking under the primary label.

SECONDARY DATA SETS: Multiple SECONDARY DATA SETS can be included in a CYCLOPS investment analysis. Each secondary data set has an influence on the investment model histories and the order secondary data sets appear in the DATA SET SELECTOR affects the investment model history. A SECONDARY DATA SETS can be displayed in the DATA SET VIEW by by clicking under the secondary label in the DATA SET SELECTOR.

CONTROLS

Control panels change in response to clicking in the CONTROLS SELECTOR. The control panels contain options and commands for managing data sets and carrying out a CYCLOPS analysis
