What is Time Line

A Timeline or Gantt Chart is a method to show when tasks happen. The left hand side of the Gantt Chart is a column listing tasks individually. To the right of each task in the Gantt Chart, a box is overlaid on a calendar showing when the task occurs.

To the right of each task's box, you can optionally display text of the Description, Start , End, or Duration of the task.
Tasks on the Critical Path (see Pert Chart ) are indicated in RED
While not shown in the drawing, the task boxes can optionally have bars added to indicate %Complete and if the task is Late
